Alexandrite laser
Laser technology with versatile application at a wavelength of 755 nm. Hair removal with laser

Permanent hair removal* with the alexandrite laser
The gentle hair removal – the alexandrite laser
The versatile alexandrite laser has a gentle and effective mode of action and is not only used in the field of tattoo and pigment disorder removal, but also for permanent hair removal*. It is one of the many techniques used for hair removal with light in Frankfurt. Here, a laser energy of 755 nm wavelength is used. With the help of the bundled light, the light pulses are optimally transported to the hair root. The hair root is destroyed by the immense energy, so that no further hair can grow. Thanks to the innovative cooling technology, treatment with the alexandrite laser is painless. Side effects are not known.

Treatment
Things to consider beforehand
One month before the start of treatment, you should take care to avoid intensive sun exposure. Thus, sunbathing and solarium visits should be avoided. This is because the light pulses of the alexandrite laser cannot reach the hair root if the skin is very tanned and thus the treatment would be ineffective. In addition, the skin may be affected too much, and burns may occur.
All methods of hair removal that remove the hair root must be avoided for at least 4 weeks before starting treatment. This includes procedures such as waxing, epilating or plucking, as well as depilatory creams. Shaving of the body area is still possible. If the facial area is being treated, all creams and make up should be removed beforehand.
During the treatment
Since the alexandrite laser has an innovative cooling technology integrated, the treatment should be painless and anesthesia unnecessary. However, reddening of the skin may still occur, but this should subside within a few days.
The duration of each treatment depends on the area of the body that is to be treated. For a treatment of the upper lip area only 10 minutes are required. A treatment of the legs could take several hours each.

Hair growth cycle
Since hair has a specific hair cycle, treatment with light requires several sessions. Each hair goes through three phases: the growth phase, the transition phase and finally the rest phase.
Treatment can only be performed on hairs that are in the growth phase. However, this is only a maximum of one third in one session. The rest of the hair is in one of the other two phases and therefore cannot be treated. The cycles change every six to eight weeks, so several sessions are necessary to subject all hairs to permanent hair removal*.

Important notes
Skin and hair color
Treatment is particularly effective for people with dark hair and light skin. In this case, the melanin distribution is optimal, allowing the focused light pulses to be better absorbed by the hair. These light pulses are transported to the hair root where the color pigments denature due to the heating. This leads to a chain reaction which activates the scavenger cells (macrophages) which fight the cause of the inflammation, i.e., the hair root. Consequently, the hair root is permanently* removed, leading to the desired result of permanent smooth skin.
Reactions of the skin
In general, the reaction to light treatment is variable, but dark and thick hair is optimal for alexandrite laser treatment. Therefore, any desired part of the body can be treated, such as the legs, on the face or the bikini area.
Gray or very light hair cannot be treated due to the lack of melanin. Likewise, a treatment for dark-skinned people is excluded because the risk of burns is too high. However, we offer optimal alternatives for the aforementioned hair and skin types.

Immediately after the treatment
After the first treatment, the first successes can already be seen and after each subsequent treatment, the number and density of hairs is continuously reduced. As a rule, about 8 sessions are needed for an optimal result, but this depends on the individual circumstances of the customer.
